More About Me

Thanks for stopping by!

One of the key functions your real estate agent should serve is that of educator. There's a lot to this buying and selling of homes and I want my clients to have as much information as possible so you can make decisions based on understanding of the market, the property, the community and your goals, both long and short term. As a native Mainer, I've lived and worked from one end of the state to the other. It's a great place to call home. Let me put my core values of honesty, integrity and fairness to work for you as you navigate the real estate process.

Personal Background and Business ExperienceI was born in Gardiner, Maine; grew up in Ridgefield, CT; graduated from Springfield College in Massachusetts with a BA in English and gradually worked my way back to Maine. The early part of my career was focused on public relations for Maine Savings Bank, International Paper Company's forestry division and Portland Stage Company. I find that the skills I developed while promoting those organizations have come in very handy in bringing buyers and sellers together. Then, while my son was growing up, I helped my husband in his customer service training company. His firm belief that there's a respectful and positive way to treat customers is one of the foundations of my own real estate business.

Awards And Designations

You've probably seen some "alphabet soup" attached to real estate agents' names, and I have some, too. The reason I studied for the designations I hold was to learn to be better as an agent in the areas of buyer representation (Accredited Buyer Representative), issues my elderly mother and her contemporaries were facing (Senior Real Estate Specialist), and environmental awareness (NAR's Green designation).

I've been awarded membership in my company's production clubs -- the Sterling and Diamond Societies. (Neither sterling nor diamonds accompany those awards!)

The recognitions I'm most proud of, though, don't show up on my business card: I've twice received the "Pulling Together Award" from my office mates, and a community service award from our regional Coldwell Banker Residential Brokerage management team.

Community Involvement

  • - Past President, Springfield College Alumni Association, Maine Chapter
  • - Volunteer, Preble Street Resource Center soup kitchen
  • - Volunteer, Unitas program for engaged couples in Portland's peninsula parishes
  • - Rider, Cancer Community Center's "Not Dead Yet" fundraising bike ride

Communities I Serve

I have the great privilege of working in the most beautiful place in the universe! So, if you're buying or selling property from northern York County, throughout Cumberland County and in parts of Oxford, Androscoggin and Sagadahoc Counties, please give me a call. If I'm not familiar with the area that most appeals to you, I'll be glad to refer you to a Coldwell Banker colleague who can help you.
